Cobra VIN Decoder
Find your model and year
Enter your VIN
Every Cobra carries a ten character VIN stamped on the steering head, on the front of the frame below the handlebars. Enter it and we will tell you the model, the year, and where it sat in that year’s production run.
Nothing is sent anywhere. The decoding happens in your browser.
How a Cobra VIN is built
Ten characters, in three parts.
| Characters 1 to 5 | Model code |
|---|---|
| Characters 6 and 7 | Model year. 17 is 2017, 09 is 2009 |
| Characters 8 to 10 | Build number within that model year |
Cobra changed the model codes part way through. Both forms are recognised.
| Model | 2016 on | Earlier |

| CX50 King / SR | CSR50 | AC427 |
| CX50 JR | CJR50 | CM709 |

| CX65 | CCX65 | CX682 |
